Clinic Program Details

The FC Hoopers basketball skills program is designed to teach aspiring basketball players the basics of ball-handling and the fundamentals of the game.  The program is open to boys and girls in Kindergarten through the ninth grade.  Each participant is asked to bring their own ball to each practice.  FC Hoopers are divided into two groups according to grade & skill level. 


*Participants in K- through 3rd grades are the Little Foxes (Focus is more basic)

*Participants in 4th through 9th grade are the Running Foxes (Foxes is more advanced)


All FC Hoopers will learn and practice proper techniques for dribbling, passing, catching, pivoting, and ball-handling.  Running Foxes will put their skills on display with game action during the last 45 minutes of practice.

Practices times are as follows:



 

- Little Foxes will practice from 6:15-7:15pm

-Running Foxes will practice from 7:30-8:45pm


All practices will be held in the Fox Chapel High School Gymnasium.

Skills Program Highlights:

 

The staff consists of Camp Director and Head Coach Zach Skrinjar, Varsity Assistant Coach Joe Farrell, and Freshman Coach and Director of Athletics for the Shadyside Boys & Girls Club George Siford in addition to other current and former coaches and Fox Chapel basketball players

This skills program stresses having FUN while learning basketball basics and FUNdamentals

Every participant will receive an official 2011 FC Hoopers Basketball Skills Program t-shirt

Any boy or girl who signs up for the grades 2nd through 4th Winter League program will automatically be registered for the FC Hoopers Basketball Skills Program if playing in those age groups.

 

 

1.       Register for Winter League: 

In grades 2nd to 4th grade register for Winter League and get both programs for $85.00

2.       Register for Winter League: 

In grades 5th to 9th, add this optional clinic for $60.00 while registering for Winter League

3.       Not playing Winter League:  Click on the Clinic only button on their website, fee is $60.00
